A Deep Dive into Teaching School Swimming and Water Safety Workshop (5 hours)

This training meets Government/Department for Education (DfE), National Governing Body/Swim Group and PE National Curriculum (2013) for Swimming and Water Safety.

Each delegate will have the opportunity to:

  • Practise swimming demonstrations using swimming floats and noodles, in front of mirrors and other learners

Each delegate will receive and take away with them:

  • 'A Deep Dive into Teaching School Swimming and Water Safety Workbook' (worth £35) written in a dyslexic friendly font, Comic Neue
  • 5 CPD points (the equivalent of 5 hours of CPD)
  • An electronic certificate
  • Access to 48 videos of swimming drills, skills and strokes, often including demonstrations

£160 per learner, with a minimum of 3 learners required.

DAY 2
(OPTIONAL ADD-ON)

Staff, Pupil and Parent Enrichment Day

Staff will:

  • Practise their swimming demonstrations on the poolside
    This can be done in 2 ways, either supporting the delegates or taking the opportunity to watch a model lesson from a member of our team

Pupils will receive:

  • Up to 4 assemblies, each focussing on drowning prevention (4 x 30 minutes)

Parents will receive:

  • A live presentation, detailing what their children are expected to achieve as part of the National Curriculum (2013), as well as the many extra-curricular opportunities available

£200 per school, per day.

The Staff, Pupil and Parent Enrichment Day usually takes the form of the following:

  • 9am to 12pm (morning) – supporting the development of new ‘2Pool 4School Swimming Teachers’.
  • 1pm to 3pm (afternoon) – up to 4 drowning prevention assemblies for pupils (4 x 30 minutes).
  • 30 minutes (after school) – presentation for school parents.

2Pool 4School was created by qualified primary school teacher, Ethan Scrutton, in 2024.

We provide hands-on CPD training and support to current and prospective school staff, to teach or support school swimming.

Our services and resources are designed to not only support the health and development of children but people as professionals. We give educators the tools and resources in order to confidently teach or support school swimming lessons.
